Ridger Van-Housen is a main character on the fanfic Glee: The Future Years. Ridger was created by ClevanOTP.
Biography[]
As a child, Ridger's father died as he fought in the war in Iraq. Having to deal with this situation, he didn't have a father figure to teach him how to be a man, not even his mother could try to teach him how to be a man. As a teenager, his mother and his stepfather got married. However, his stepfather never seemed to be attracted to her, he seemed to be attracted to him. As a result, he tried to get a piece of Ridger, and he was charged and sentenced to life in prison for sexual abuse. This situation caused his mother to blame him for his departure, and their relationship became distant. Ridger's sexual encounter with his father caused him to question if he's actually straight or gay, and he found it difficult to overcome that. At his old school, he became attracted to a guy in school, and tried to date a girl to hide it, but when the truth was revealed, he had to leave as quick as he could.
Season One[]
The Beginning[]
Ridger stops the fight between Meiko and Ridger, and Ridger and Meiko walk to lunch. On the way, Mr Smith walks past and puts up an audition sheet for the Glee Club. Both of them sign their names. At the auditiorium, Ridger auditions with Diamonds. He watches Demi, J.J. and Calvin audition. Later, he watches the fight between Gabriella and Meiko. He is last seen at lunch, and witnesses Meiko get slushied by Heather.
Love is Hard[]
He watches the auditions of Phoenix, Lucas and Drew. Ridger is invited to Meiko's house, and accepts. There, they sing Galaxy, and Meiko attempts to kiss him. Ridger rejects her and leaves. He gets the lead in Good Time.
The Next Step[]
Ridger is invited to BreadstiX, but while there, he is revealed to be dating Gabriella. He gets a solo part in A Thousand Miles.
Avril Time[]
Ridger sings in Keep Holding On. He is mentioned by Gabriella as making her feel special.
Past Life[]
Ridger and Gabriella have an argument, leading into them singing in Six Degrees of Separation.
The Battle[]
It is confirmed that Ridger is not a virgin in this episode. He sings in Surrender, Beauty and a Beat and In My Head.
The Lead[]
He has talks with Meiko, growing their relationship.
Love Triangle[]
Ridger sings I'm Yours for Meiko, confirming their relationship status. He later sings in Everybody Hurts.
